This artwork by Joseph Dudley Downing achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in October 2018. In the 20th Century Art 1950 to present auction, the work Sans Titre - 1988 sold for EUR 11,050.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 4,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Joseph Dudley Downing; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Et cela depuis toujours sold at auction in July 2010 with the realized price of EUR 13,750.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Joseph Dudley Downing erzielte im Oktober 2018 bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century Art 1950 to present wurde die Arbeit Sans Titre - 1988 für EUR 11.050,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 4.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Joseph Dudley Downing; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Et cela depuis toujours im Juli 2010 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 13.750,00.
