Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of a young lady, bust length by Josef Kriehuber was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2001. The price achieved of EUR 998.75 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 700.00 – 1,100.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Josef Kriehuber achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Baron von Tettenborn in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 11,060.29).

Die Arbeit Portrait of a young lady, bust length von Josef Kriehuber kam im September 2001 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 998,75 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 700,00 – 1.100,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Josef Kriehuber erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of Baron von Tettenborn im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 11.060,29).
