Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Piedra I by Juan Hamilton for USD 10,625.00 (€ 9,633.69). This price was achieved in the auction Alfred Stieglitz, Georgia O’Keeffe, Juan Hamilton: Passage at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Juan Hamilton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Red Form) in March 2020 with an auction result of USD 45,000.00 (€ 40,801.52).

Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Juan Hamilton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Red Form) im März 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 45.000,00 (€ 40.801,52).
