Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2016 Christies in New York held the auction Living With Art, which included this untitled work by Julius Bissier. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 1,200,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,364.94) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Julius Bissier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A. 19. Dez. 63 in December 2002 with an auction result of EUR 31,855.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Living With Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Julius Bissier zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 7.364,94) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Julius Bissier auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A. 19. Dez. 63 im Dezember 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 31.855,00.
