Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Moon of Dream, 2007 by Kang Ik-Joong for USD 18,750.00 (€ 13,315.82). This price was achieved in the auction Japanese & Korean Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Kang Ik-Joong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Moon Jars in September 2008 with an auction result of USD 134,500.00 (€ 95,518.78).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Moon of Dream, 2007 von Kang Ik-Joong für USD 18.750,00 (€ 13.315,82) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Japanese & Korean Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kang Ik-Joong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Moon Jars im September 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 134.500,00 (€ 95.518,78).
