The work German Fahrweg Am Eichenwald, Ein Bergzug In Der Ferne (Path Through An Oak Forest) by Carl Blechen was worth GBP 35,000.00 (€ 45,056.61) to a buyer in December 2014. This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Paintings at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Carl Blechen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dünenlandschaft mit von Eichen umstandenem Hünengrab, which sold at auction in November last year for EUR 127,000.00.

Die Arbeit German Fahrweg Am Eichenwald, Ein Bergzug In Der Ferne (Path Through An Oak Forest) von Carl Blechen war einem Käufer im Dezember 2014 GBP 35.000,00 (€ 45.056,61) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Carl Blechen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dünenlandschaft mit von Eichen umstandenem Hünengrab beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für EUR 127.000,00 versteigert wurde.
