This artwork by Karl Hofer achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2021. In the 20th/21st Century: Amsterdam auction, the work Mädchenkopf (rot, blau, grün) sold for EUR 8,750.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Karl Hofer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Arbeitslose in December 2020 with an auction result of EUR 825,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Karl Hofer erzielte im November 2021 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th/21st Century: Amsterdam wurde die Arbeit Mädchenkopf (rot, blau, grün) für EUR 8.750,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Karl Hofer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Arbeitslose im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 825.000,00.
