In June 2021 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction No Regrets: Modern and Contemporary Art Online, which included the work The Monsters and Drawing Card (set of four pieces) by Kasing Lung. The result of HKD 15,000.00 (€ 1,629.39) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kasing Lung achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Otto Ule (Painted In 2018) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 144,000.00 (€ 147,052.17).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juni 2021 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion No Regrets: Modern and Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Monsters and Drawing Card (set of four pieces) von Kasing Lung zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 15.000,00 (€ 1.629,39) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kasing Lung erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Otto Ule (Painted In 2018) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 144.000,00 (€ 147.052,17).
