Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Kate Moss (Roberto Cavalli) by Katherine Bernhardt. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 255,000.00 (€ 30,273.97) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Katherine Bernhardt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May last year with an auction result of HKD 3,150,000.00 (€ 373,972.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kate Moss (Roberto Cavalli) von Katherine Bernhardt zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 255.000,00 (€ 30.273,97) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Katherine Bernhardt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.150.000,00 (€ 373.972,60).
