The actor Iwai Hanshiro in an onnagata role holding a banner, signed Shunko, good impression, colours and condition, wormhole damage repaired; and a design of the actor Nakamura Nakazo grasping his sword, signed Katsukawa Shunko ga, good impression, good colours and condition, some oxidation

The work Unknown by Katsukawa Shunko was sold in the JapaneseArt and Design Including Netsuke from the Estate of His Royal Highness The Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester, KG.,KT.,KP auction at Christies in London in July 2006. The result of GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,756.66) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Katsukawa Shunko have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Unknown in March 2003 with an auction result of USD 10,157.50 (€ 9,318.81).

Die Arbeit Unknown von Katsukawa Shunko wurde im Juli 2006 in der Auktion JapaneseArt and Design Including Netsuke from the Estate of His Royal Highness The Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester, KG.,KT.,KP bei Christies in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.200,00 (€ 1.756,66) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Katsukawa Shunko auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Unknown im März 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.157,50 (€ 9.318,81).
