Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Self-taught Man by Ken Currie was sold in the British Printmaking auction at Christies in London in February 2008. The price achieved of GBP 525.00 (€ 686.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ken Currie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fatherland in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 51,620.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Self-taught Man von Ken Currie wurde im Februar 2008 in der Auktion British Printmaking bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 525,00 (€ 686,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ken Currie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fatherland im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 51.620,70).
