This work is number 77 from the edition of 100 (there were also ten artist's proofs). Published by Beyond the Streets, New York, with their blindstamp.
Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July last year Christies in New York held the auction Trespassing, which included the work Kalorizi by Kenny Scharf. Here, the upper estimate of USD 2,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,772.00 (€ 2,717.11). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kenny Scharf achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work City of the Future in May last year with an auction result of USD 983,175.00 (€ 916,200.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Trespassing durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kalorizi von Kenny Scharf zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 2.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 2.772,00 (€ 2.717,11) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kenny Scharf erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit City of the Future im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 983.175,00 (€ 916.200,73).
