Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Wheel Cover) by Kenny Scharf was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Online Sale auction at Bonhams in December last year. The price achieved of GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,151.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kenny Scharf achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work City of the Future in May last year with an auction result of USD 983,175.00 (€ 916,200.73).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Wheel Cover) von Kenny Scharf wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Online Sale bei Bonhams versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.020,00 (€ 1.151,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kenny Scharf erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit City of the Future im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 983.175,00 (€ 916.200,73).
