Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2020 Christies in Paris held the auction I.M.A.GINATION 44 oeuvres provenant de la collection Claude & France Lemand vendues au profit des artistes du musée de l’Institut du monde arabe, which included the work Debout ! by Khaled Dawwa. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 8,125.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Khaled Dawwa - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Les Passants, which sold at auction in October 2021 for EUR 19,062.50.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2020 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion I.M.A.GINATION 44 oeuvres provenant de la collection Claude & France Lemand vendues au profit des artistes du musée de l’Institut du monde arabe durch, in der auch die Arbeit Debout ! von Khaled Dawwa zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 8.125,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Khaled Dawwa mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Les Passants beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für EUR 19.062,50 versteigert wurde.
