In October 2005 Christies in London held the auction Twentieth Century British Art, which included the work Lavender Fields, Provence by Kit Barker. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 504.00 (€ 743.25), 68% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kit Barker - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sans titre, which sold at auction in March this year for EUR 2,805.00.

Im Oktober 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion Twentieth Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lavender Fields, Provence von Kit Barker zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 504,00 (€ 743,25) und damit 68% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Kit Barker mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sans titre beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für EUR 2.805,00 versteigert wurde.
