Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Unknown by Kobayashi Kiyochika was sold in the Japanese Art and Design auction at Christies in London in November 2008. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 4,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 4,500.00 (€ 5,440.84). Admittedly, works by Kobayashi Kiyochika have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fudo Myoo in September 2004 with an auction result of USD 28,680.00 (€ 23,097.37).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Unknown von Kobayashi Kiyochika wurde im November 2008 in der Auktion Japanese Art and Design bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 4.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 4.500,00 (€ 5.440,84) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kobayashi Kiyochika auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fudo Myoo im September 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.680,00 (€ 23.097,37).
