Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Warehouses along the river in Nihonbashi by Kobayashi Kiyochika was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2008. The price achieved of USD 2,500.00 (€ 1,775.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kobayashi Kiyochika achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fudo Myoo in September 2004 with an auction result of USD 28,680.00 (€ 23,097.37).

Die Arbeit Warehouses along the river in Nihonbashi von Kobayashi Kiyochika kam im September 2008 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.500,00 (€ 1.775,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kobayashi Kiyochika erzielen.
