The work Visual Poetry #74 by Kwon Hyun-Jin was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 68,750.00 (€ 7,401.98), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Kwon Hyun-Jin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Visual Poetry Pixel Series #696 in June last year with an auction result of HKD 277,200.00 (€ 33,733.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Visual Poetry #74 von Kwon Hyun-Jin wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 68.750,00 (€ 7.401,98) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kwon Hyun-Jin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Visual Poetry Pixel Series #696 im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 277.200,00 (€ 33.733,19).
