Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Personne - planche contact, 1995 by Laurence Demaison was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in May last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 504.00. Other works by Laurence Demaison have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in May last year by the work Saute d'Humeur, 2004 at EUR 756.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Personne - planche contact, 1995 von Laurence Demaison im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 504,00 den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Laurence Demaison wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres die Arbeit Saute d'Humeur, 2004 mit EUR 756,00.
