Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work Bathers by Lawton Silas Parker for USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,054.78). This price was achieved in the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lawton Silas Parker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orange Parasol, Giverny in May 2001 with an auction result of USD 215,000.00 (€ 254,287.40).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
