The work Fleurs (Blossoms) by Le Pho was sold in the 20th Century Art Day Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 693,000.00 (€ 83,045.99), 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Le Pho achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figures in a garden in April last year with an auction result of HKD 17,920,000.00 (€ 2,166,658.44).

Die Arbeit Fleurs (Blossoms) von Le Pho wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century Art Day Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 693.000,00 (€ 83.045,99) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Le Pho erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Figures in a garden im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 17.920.000,00 (€ 2.166.658,44).
