Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Le Pho achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. In the 20th Century Art Day Sale auction, the work La femme aux rosiers (Lady with Roses) sold for HKD 5,292,000.00 (€ 634,169.38) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 2,200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Le Pho - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Figures in a garden, which sold at auction in April last year for HKD 17,920,000.00 (€ 2,166,658.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Le Pho erzielte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit La femme aux rosiers (Lady with Roses) für HKD 5.292.000,00 (€ 634.169,38) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 2.200.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Le Pho mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Figures in a garden beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für HKD 17.920.000,00 (€ 2.166.658,44) versteigert wurde.
