Auction result well in line with expectations
The work TIGERS by Lee Man Fong was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2017. It changed hands for a price of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 42,819.95) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lee Man Fong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bali Life in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 33,720,000.00 (€ 3,471,572.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit TIGERS von Lee Man Fong kam im Mai 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 42.819,95) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 300.000,00 – 400.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lee Man Fong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bali Life im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 33.720.000,00 (€ 3.471.572,23).
