In April 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction 50 Masterworks to Celebrate 50 Years of Sotheby’s Photographs, which included the work Nude by Lee Miller. The »bidding war« ended at USD 504,000.00 (€ 418,952.62), 68% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Nude the most expensive artwork by Lee Miller that we have observed at auctions so far.
