Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Christies in London held the auction Modern/British & Irish Art, which included the work Notre-Dame de Paris by Lelia Pissarro. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,268.97) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Lelia Pissarro have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le jardin des Tuilleries à Paris in February 2008 with an auction result of USD 11,875.00 (€ 7,819.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern/British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Notre-Dame de Paris von Lelia Pissarro zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.268,97) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lelia Pissarro auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le jardin des Tuilleries à Paris im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 7.819,19).
