This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 1,500,000.00 many times over. This high result makes The Young Hercules the most expensive artwork by Leng Mei that we have observed at auctions so far.
