Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lofty Scholar admiring Prunus Blossoms by Leng Mei was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. The price achieved of HKD 12,475,000.00 (€ 1,508,318.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 10,000,000.00 – 15,000,000.00. Other works by Leng Mei have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2010 the work The Young Hercules was auctioned for HKD 16,900,000.00 (€ 1,755,719.95).

Die Arbeit Lofty Scholar admiring Prunus Blossoms von Leng Mei kam im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 12.475.000,00 (€ 1.508.318,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 10.000.000,00 – 15.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Leng Mei konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2010 die Arbeit The Young Hercules für HKD 16.900.000,00 (€ 1.755.719,95) versteigert.
