Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Figures by Leng Mei was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II auction at POLY in April 2018. The price achieved of HKD 354,000.00 (€ 37,352.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 300,000.00 – 380,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leng Mei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Young Hercules in May 2010 with an auction result of HKD 16,900,000.00 (€ 1,755,719.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Figures von Leng Mei wurde im April 2018 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II bei POLY versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 354.000,00 (€ 37.352,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 300.000,00 – 380.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leng Mei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Young Hercules im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 16.900.000,00 (€ 1.755.719,95).
