Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2008 Christies in London held the auction Russian Pictures, Icons & Works of Art, which included the work Portrait of the artist's wife by Leonid Frechkopf. The price achieved of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,347.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Leonid Frechkopf have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Three Nudes in December 2009 with an auction result of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 42,019.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Russian Pictures, Icons & Works of Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of the artist's wife von Leonid Frechkopf zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.347,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leonid Frechkopf auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Three Nudes im Dezember 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.250,00 (€ 42.019,31).
