Auction result misses estimated price range
In March this year a collector was able to acquire the work Landscape, 1902 by Liang Yuwei for USD 828.75 (€ 762.28). This price was achieved in the auction Chinese Works of Art and Paintings at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liang Yuwei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Couplet in Clerical Script in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 34,794.45).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Landscape, 1902 von Liang Yuwei für USD 828,75 (€ 762,28) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Chinese Works of Art and Paintings bei Bonhams erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liang Yuwei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Couplet in Clerical Script im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 34.794,45).
