Auction result well in line with expectations
The work St. Moritz by Libis was auctioned at Christies in London in January 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,741.67) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Libis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wallis in January 2015 with an auction result of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 24,954.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit St. Moritz von Libis kam im Januar 2014 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.741,67) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Libis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wallis im Januar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 24.954,61).
