This artwork by Lilia Carrillo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in July 2020. In the Latin American Art auction, the work Puentes varios No. 1 sold for USD 68,750.00 (€ 58,391.37) - well above the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Lilia Carrillo; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Momento Anterior sold at auction in May 2021 with the realized price of USD 88,200.00 (€ 72,330.65).
