Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2012 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Play Series by Liu Jianhua. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 225,000.00 (€ 22,309.76). Admittedly, works by Liu Jianhua have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Games (Polychrome Ceramic Series) in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 168,000.00 (€ 124,879.21).
