Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction Master Drawings from a Distinguished European Collection, which included the work Study For A Figure Of Icarus by Lorenzo De Ferrari. The price achieved of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,272.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lorenzo De Ferrari have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Adorazione Dei Pastori in June 2011 with an auction result of EUR 48,750.00.
