The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,092.35), 35% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Lorraine Shemesh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Backfloat in September 2011 with an auction result of USD 68,500.00 (€ 50,933.15).
