Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Lou Stoumen could be acquired at Bonhams in February this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Masters of PhotographyFrom Edward S. Curtis to Berenice Abbott auction, the work Selected Images 2 changed hands for USD 765.00 (€ 721.56) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Admittedly, works by Lou Stoumen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Forty Years: Lou Stoumen in October 2010 with an auction result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,197.35).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lou Stoumen konnte im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Masters of PhotographyFrom Edward S. Curtis to Berenice Abbott wechselte die Arbeit Selected Images 2 für USD 765,00 (€ 721,56) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lou Stoumen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Forty Years: Lou Stoumen im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.197,35).
