Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le Repos Des Bedouins by Auguste Louis Veillon was sold in the Regards sur l'Orient: Orientalist Paintings and Sculptures - Islamic Art auction at Sothebys in Paris in June 2010. The price achieved of EUR 6,875.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Auguste Louis Veillon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Temple at Philae in July 2018 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 33,636.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Le Repos Des Bedouins von Auguste Louis Veillon wurde im Juni 2010 in der Auktion Regards sur l'Orient: Orientalist Paintings and Sculptures - Islamic Art bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 6.875,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Auguste Louis Veillon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Temple at Philae im Juli 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 33.636,60).
