In July 2018 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European & Orientalist Art, which included the work Arab encampment by the Nile by Auguste Louis Veillon. The result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,212.20) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Auguste Louis Veillon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Temple at Philae, which sold at auction in July 2018 for GBP 30,000.00 (€ 33,636.60).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European & Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Arab encampment by the Nile von Auguste Louis Veillon zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.212,20) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Auguste Louis Veillon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Temple at Philae beobachtet, die im Juli 2018 für GBP 30.000,00 (€ 33.636,60) versteigert wurde.
