Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2010 Christies in Paris held the auction Le Haras d'Estimauville ; Oeuvres et Objets d'Art provenant des Collections Rothschild, which included the work Chien papillon by Louis Eugène Lambert. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Louis Eugène Lambert have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2015 the work Mischief In The Sowing Box was auctioned for GBP 3,250.00 (€ 4,401.27).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 2.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
