Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Jephthah'S Daughter In The Desert by Louis Lang was sold in the Paintings Drawings Sculptures 1300-1900 auction at Sothebys in Paris in November 2019. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 10,625.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Lang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Reminiscences of Lake Mahopac--Ladies Preparing for a Boat Race, which sold at auction in November 2011 for USD 30,000.00 (€ 22,299.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Jephthah'S Daughter In The Desert von Louis Lang wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion Paintings Drawings Sculptures 1300-1900 bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 10.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 10.625,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Louis Lang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Reminiscences of Lake Mahopac--Ladies Preparing for a Boat Race beobachtet, die im November 2011 für USD 30.000,00 (€ 22.299,86) versteigert wurde.
