Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mary Sykes at The Escambron Beach Club, Puerto Rico, Harper's Bazaar, 1938 by Louise Dahl-Wolfe was auctioned at Christies in Paris in June 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Louise Dahl-Wolfe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nude On Beach, California, 1948 in May 2013 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,998.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mary Sykes at The Escambron Beach Club, Puerto Rico, Harper's Bazaar, 1938 von Louise Dahl-Wolfe kam im Juni 2019 bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louise Dahl-Wolfe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nude On Beach, California, 1948 im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.998,79).
