A top price for Luciano Fabro
When the work Italia dell’emigrante (Italy of the Emigrant) by Luciano Fabro was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2015, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - GBP 800,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at GBP 2,714,500.00 (€ 3,796,907.49). This high result makes Italia dell’emigrante (Italy of the Emigrant) the most expensive artwork by Luciano Fabro that we have observed at auctions so far.
