Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The artist's model by Lucien Henri Grandgérard was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,432.95) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Lucien Henri Grandgérard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Reclining Nude in April 2008 with an auction result of EUR 6,850.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The artist's model von Lucien Henri Grandgérard kam im Juli 2012 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.432,95) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lucien Henri Grandgérard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Reclining Nude im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 6.850,00.
