The work The Fortune Teller by Lumen Portengen was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2002. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,815.00 (€ 10,870.19). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lumen Portengen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Musizierende Gesellschaft, which sold at auction in May 2018 for EUR 29,760.00.

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Die Arbeit The Fortune Teller von Lumen Portengen kam im Juli 2002 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 6.815,00 (€ 10.870,19) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Lumen Portengen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Musizierende Gesellschaft beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für EUR 29.760,00 versteigert wurde.
