Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Maquette IV Two Reclining Figures 40.7 cm. (16 in.) long by Lynn Chadwick. The price achieved of GBP 35,580.00 (€ 41,229.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lynn Chadwick achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jubilee IV in November this year with an auction result of USD 3,317,000.00 (€ 3,040,887.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Maquette IV Two Reclining Figures 40.7 cm. (16 in.) long von Lynn Chadwick zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 35.580,00 (€ 41.229,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lynn Chadwick erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jubilee IV im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.317.000,00 (€ 3.040.887,42).
