Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Mai Trung Thu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Paris in December this year. In the Vietnamese Art auction, the work Baignade sold for EUR 704.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mai Trung Thu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait De Mademoiselle Phuong in April 2021 with an auction result of HKD 24,375,000.00 (€ 2,609,725.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mai Trung Thu erzielte im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Vietnamese Art wurde die Arbeit Baignade für EUR 704,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 300,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mai Trung Thu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait De Mademoiselle Phuong im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 24.375.000,00 (€ 2.609.725,69).
