Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Malcolm Hughes was auctioned at Bonhams in April this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,040.00 (€ 2,324.93) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Malcolm Hughes - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work White and Aluminium 1967, which sold at auction in March 2018 for GBP 5,250.00 (€ 5,977.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Malcolm Hughes kam im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.040,00 (€ 2.324,93) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Malcolm Hughes mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit White and Aluminium 1967 beobachtet, die im März 2018 für GBP 5.250,00 (€ 5.977,41) versteigert wurde.
