Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Malcolm Osborne could be acquired at Bonhams in March this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Discovery Sale Online auction, the work Semur changed hands for GBP 57.38 (€ 65.28) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 100.00 – 200.00. Admittedly, works by Malcolm Osborne have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Gaekwad of Baroda (Sayajirao Gaekwad III, reg. 1875-1939), dated 1923 in May this year with an auction result of GBP 229.50 (€ 267.02).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Malcolm Osborne konnte im März diesen Jahres bei Bonhams für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Discovery Sale Online wechselte die Arbeit Semur für GBP 57,38 (€ 65,28) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 100,00 – 200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Malcolm Osborne auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Gaekwad of Baroda (Sayajirao Gaekwad III, reg. 1875-1939), dated 1923 im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 229,50 (€ 267,02).
