Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Ten Works) by Malick Sidibé was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in April last year. It changed hands for a price of EUR 6,930.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Malick Sidibé have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Les Amis Des Espagnols', 1968 in April 2021 with an auction result of GBP 35,280.00 (€ 40,582.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Ten Works) von Malick Sidibé kam im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 6.930,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Malick Sidibé auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Les Amis Des Espagnols', 1968 im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.280,00 (€ 40.582,26).
