This artwork by Marc Sterling achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in March 2011. In the Ecole de Paris 1905-1939 auction, the work Nature Morte, Circa 1950 sold for EUR 3,570.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 2,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Marc Sterling; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Eliane, Circa 1950 sold at auction in December 2008 with the realized price of EUR 6,375.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Marc Sterling erzielte im März 2011 bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Ecole de Paris 1905-1939 wurde die Arbeit Nature Morte, Circa 1950 für EUR 3.570,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 2.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Marc Sterling; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Eliane, Circa 1950 im Dezember 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 6.375,00.
